Features
1. Lightweight and High Strength
The formwork is made of 6061-T6 aluminum alloy, which is about one-third the weight of steel but stronger than common structural steel. Its tensile strength reaches 250–300 MPa, sufficient to withstand the pressure of concrete in high-rise construction. The reduced weight makes manual handling and hoisting easier, improves efficiency, lowers the risk of high-altitude work, and allows faster floor turnover.
2. High Precision for Stable Structures
CNC processing ensures dimensional errors are within ±1–2 mm, smaller than traditional steel formwork. Aluminum's thermal expansion is low, so structural dimensions remain stable in normal construction temperatures (10–40°C). This precision improves concrete verticality and flatness, reduces misalignment, and lowers repair costs caused by dimensional errors.
3. Excellent Corrosion Resistance
Anodized aluminum forms a protective oxide layer (10–15 μm thick) that resists moisture, alkali, and chemical corrosion. The formwork maintains its strength and shape even after frequent contact with concrete. It can be reused more than 300 times under standard conditions, making it cost-effective and durable for large projects.
4. Highly Waterproof
The aluminum surface is naturally impermeable, and the oxide layer prevents cement slurry from seeping through. This keeps the formwork dry, reduces the need for release agents, and minimizes surface defects like bubbles or honeycombs. Unlike wooden formwork, aluminum maintains its shape in high humidity or high temperatures, making it ideal for complex structures such as basements, bridges, and high-rise buildings.
